What if.....?

By Stanley Collymore

If all the decent and rational people in this world
were to be gathered together you would most
certainly be amongst their number. For
you most undoubtedly, inarguably
possess all the characteristics that longstanding
and irrefutable statistics, themselves firmly
conjoined with serious and analytical
studies, most confidently and heart
warmingly indicate consistently
comprise the inimitable and
meritorious human being.

A delightfully appealing person and, in your
exact case Rosemary, the consummately
attractive woman. Qualities: whether
individually or collectively taken,
that superbly and emphatically,
resplenantly transform you  from being
the erstwhile stranger that you were
into someone that it’s now both
an opportunity and a distinct
pleasure, even faraway so,
to affectionately admire.

Author’s Comments:
There are two indigenous and well-established Barbadian sayings that I grew up with, fully appreciate, attach significant importance to and from childhood, when I was first introduced to them, have consistently throughout my life incorporated both in my thinking, actions and every other viable aspect of my everyday life.

There are as follows: a) The more you watch the less you’ see; and b) The more that you greedily wish for the less you’ll invariably get.

In other words, concentrate less or not at all on your personal and selfish demands - narcissistically so or otherwise – and instead assiduously endeavour at all times to be a caring and commendable human being. And in the process of thinking less about yourself and more about others is a sure-fire way of reaping lasting rewards, of all kinds, that you previously never visualized would ever happen to you.

Quite clever us Bajans!
