Don’t confuse love with lust!

By Stanley Collymore

Genuine love is much more than simply mouthing
cliched words of encouragement at will that in
themselves have no obvious or convincing
meaning; uttering hackneyed phrases
unswervingly; or else expressing
mundane sentiments with no
detailed intention of their
pragmatic fulfilment.

For unlike such uncorroborated statements
that entirely have nothing in common
with what love is really all about,
love actually entails full commitment to
the person, as well as the ideals that
the individual in question is truly
interested in, and not spurious
unachievable substitutions!

And if you either cannot or will not seriously,
candidly and honestly entertain binding
yourself to what you’re otherwise
facilely and habitually in such
counterfeit cases are intentionally and
misleadingly promoting, then call
whatever it is you’re doing or
else fixatedly enamoured
of by a changed name;
but please do refrain
from thoughtfully
labelling it love!

Author’s Remarks:
Lust when consensually and quite legally indulged in has its rightful place in every society that genuinely labels itself democratic. That said please, whatever you do, don’t ever confuse lustful emotions, their lascivious actions or outright carnal activities with the unpretentious and indisputable genuine sentiments of love.
