The Optimist

“In the hour of adversity, be not without hope;
for crystal rain falls from black clouds.”
– Nizam

A Sonnet

Unforgiving fortunes, hammered by fate
His lonely existence somewhat unkind
Fair worldly success he could never find
His best efforts always little too late

But born stubborn never disconsolate
Dreams ambitions he never left behind
Trials tribulations willfully blind
Bright future he’s determined to create

With persistence, ever the optimist
He knocks on doors of opportunities
For providence he seeks in gloom and mist!
Still, for relief he prays while on his knees
For in the end, there’s truth he can’t resist
Not him, ‘tis the Lord that rules land and seas!

Amen I absolutely love this. I wrote one by the same title. Optimism is the Spirit Of Faith. It’s not that you never go through anything, but you simply believe God can bring you through anything. The greater the test the greater the testimony. I’m not asking for anymore test though. I’ve had my share lately ( smile ) .

Thanks for liking @Charlotte. I think I read that poem before. I think it pays to be optimistic as long as we recognize that He is the source of our optimism

Strive to thrive. Make your half empty glass brimming with joy every day. The daily chores, mundane but need your attention. And you deserve a sweet night rest ready for the next day. C’est la vie!

Brod @Nelson D Reyes, thank you. We can give in to the trials we encounter; but what does that give us in the end.

…a day in the life optimist look. Thank you Brod. Nice . Like

Thank you @Barb Clarke

Yes indeed! Persistence and perseverance, never surrender, though we stumble yet always stand at the end. Very encouraging brod, loved it!

Maraming salamat Brod. 😊👍
