A Sonnet
Perchance this is the last poem I will write
Without a doubt a sonnet it will be
One about nature’s grandeur and beauty
An enchanting universe with no blight
A poem ‘bout sunsets and sunrise so bright
From mountains evergreen to bluest sea
Eagles and hawks soaring high flying free
The moon, stars and mysteries of the night
A poem ‘bout lilies white and roses red
Hummingbirds, butterflies and honeybees
Awesome bluer than blue skies overhead
And the warm sun, the cool refreshing breeze
A poem about the good life we have led
And heaven more marvelous than all these
