Spring Forward

“I wandered lonely as a cloud that floats on high o'er vales and hills, when all at once I saw a crowd, a host, of golden daffodils; beside the lake, beneath the trees, fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
William Wordsworth

The world now awakes
From cold winter’s deep slumber
Freeze and snow over
Grey depressing skies are gone
With joy we welcome the sun

Robin’s egg blue sky
Fluffy cotton candy clouds
Cool spring afternoon
Blossoms their aroma sweet
Powerful and indiscreet

Tulips and lilacs
Hydrangeas and bluebonnets
Cherry blossoms too
Flow’rs colorful on display
Beautify our world today

Rainbow colored world
Leas and meadows in full bloom
We’ll enjoy for weeks
Every day a festival
Nature a grand spectacle

Sadly the dog days will come
With them, the oppressive heat
But then fall a welcome balm
Soon the seasons will repeat
