Niagara Falls

In awe-inspiring majesty, one of God’s monuments
Breath-taking, impressive, carved by His own hands
At the dawn of creation, from before the movements
Of history  brought man into these virgin lands.

In silence, we gazed at the immensity of the falls
As we think about the three billion gallons of water
Down the gorge each and every hour; and it boggles
Our simple minds, as it travels to the ocean yonder!

And yet it’s not just nature’s raw primeval pow’r
On display for all, that has captivated both of us
It’s the sheer beauty! Such we haven’t seen before
The towering mist intensifies the air of mysterious
Divinity; a sense that the Almighty’s come to fore
To manifest His greatness; a gift to us so precious...
