He held his breath for as long as he can
Wishing the moment will forever last
For the first time his lips, she kissed
And he’d stop his heartbeat, if he must!
Her lips tasted of honey, unctuous and sweet
Within him, pure love and unquenchable lust!
A lifetime he waited, for a split second
Of intense bliss; knowing it’s just momentary
But he’ll welcome that ephemeral joyous moment
Rather than an eternity of boring and ordinary!
Just like those sand castles he built long ago
Fleeting! yet the happy memories ever a sanctuary...
Alas, the kiss aroused in him the deepest longing
A fathomless desire; an insatiable thirst
He’s a changed man, his old self forever gone
Another kiss he craves, or his heart will burst!
Oh please, to taste those lips once more
Though he knows, none can be better than the first!
