Can you feel the sunset
Burning up your pride?
Leaving you as a blank slate,
Bringing back everything that died.
And when it leaves you always know
You’ll meet it there again,
But it burns in the back of your head;
Such pleasure of a twisted pain.
Is this love? I feel it’s like
Appreciating every glimpse
Taken of your light
For a short amount of time
Before night falls, and I’m left with stars
Trying to find
A remnant of your face, and peace of mind.
All I can get, and does it matter now
When I ask;
Can you feel the sunset?
