I have had a good life so far,
Not like any other,
But I always hear something in the distance,
To which I cannot ignore.
I am walking on the sidewalks,
Till I am home,
And I see a certain figure,
In which is unknown.
I have started to walk a little faster,
For I am scared to death,
But it is closing in on me.
All of a sudden,
I start to fall down, coughing,
Like there is no tomorrow.
When I was home,
I started to see delusions,
And when I told them someone was there,
They could not see.
I have not the slightest clue,
On why this is happening,
But I would soon.
“You should be better soon,” says the doctor,
But I don’t think so anymore.
I have developed a fever, cough, and a lasting migraine,
To which no other person can feel.
I see an angel in the distance,
And he has told me to stay still,
But I cannot,
For I am very afraid.
“You have been sentenced to death,
And I’m the one who is forced to kill,”says he.
Then I automatically knew who he was,
He was the angel of death.
He tells me to say goodbye,
So I have written a note to my family,
Saying it was my time to go,
And I love them ever so dearly.
“I am ready,” says I.
He takes me for judgment,
Judgment for Heaven or Hell,
And to this world I say:
Farewell.
