What are we fighting?
We say all that life can do is take away from us,
have we really assessed ourselves much.
See we blame society for whats wrong with us.
Do we see what we are doing wrong much?
We live and have opportunity,
yet we live without prosperity.
Potential in our veins,
flowing without purpose and gain.
Mother, father and uncles aren’t to be blamed,
for your successful shame.
They tried their best and given all they had,
just so you can stand tall and fill their hearts not hands.
Pride, where have you gone?
Our ladies the ones so strong?
Our brothers that lend a helping hand.
Our priests that helped humanity take a stand.
what are we fighting?
Who are we fighting
The big picture lives within us and always existed.
Instead we choose to look at portraits that never existed.
