IN THE MIDST OF CONFUSION

Nobody knows how she feels inside,
For her feelings she continues to hide.
Oh how she wishes that someone would bring her in,
And forever accept her for who she is.
“But you’re too weird,” they continue to say,
In the most painful of ways.
Too weird, oh how can that be?
She’s just being friendly and acting like herself.
She guesses “me” is not good enough,
But being alone is oh so tough.
What should she do? What should she say?
So that people wouldn’t treat her this way.
