Without Wings

Without Wings

He flies like an eagle, the sky for him to roam
Who needs wings when dreams take him home?
His world is adorned with polka dot dresses
Of floating iron and swirling tresses

He walks when reality goes his way
When life is easy what can he say?
But when the calm begins its rufflings
Time to shed his usual coverlings

And go to the sky where dreaming is his fare
As clouds drift by and dance with the air
He is a man of dragon slaying and daring rescues
A storybook of mazes and snarling fescues
Up and over all that goes awry
Without wings he soars through the sky
