Winter’s Relenting
Comes a time when enough is enough
Like jaws that have to let go
They become tired of holding on
When strength begins to weaken
When the rays of the sun come closer
They splash upon the ice covered brooks
That burst out in joy to the song of spring
“Good-bye winter, glad to see you go.”
With meadows waking up to life again
And creatures rising from their secret tombs
Nature’s out in full glory in her finest attire
Arriving at the ball, same time as last year
An ode to spring, with my exhilarating spirit
Winter’s relenting, it’s time to dance
