The Peacemaker

The Peacemaker

Her perpetual smile never left her as her husband’s self inflicted misery failed to hold her back.  She tried everything she could to pull him out of it, but she was unsuccessful.  He wouldn’t open up and let his bottled up feelings out.  Was he ashamed of himself?  Nobody will ever know.
The peace within her was so dominant that any outside influences had no bearing on her mood.  She was purely an instrument of the Holy Spirit, the way that God had created her.  When she spoke to you, she spoke to the altar within and brought you to it when you listened and in turn responded to her.  She was the living example of how the Holy Spirit works.  It has to be influential when it is used properly.
Everyone has the free will to choose their own disposition.  If they are content with their misery, then so be it.  Most of the time they just want to be left alone.  If you try to change them, it will only make you frustrated and miserable.  They don’t want to be rehabilitated.   They should never choose a mate unless they want to change for the better.
The Holy Spirit only works on those who wish to let it work for them.  She could have been the peacemaker if he wanted her to be.
