The Passing

The passing through life and the doors of death
into majestic rooms from when his final breath
ushered him through from the grace of God,
he floated and looked around the rooms in awe.

He left behind his body, but his soul went on and on;
for each step was a rising to a higher eschelon,
and he of prophetic dreams plotted his course,
and the passing was his prudential thoughts reinforced.

From the freeing of his breath from its restless tide,
it found God from its breaking free inside,
and stood before the King in its unbound chains,
free of pedantic probing and free of its pains.

From his passing, wisdom opened up its doors
and truth was written upon the lucid corridors,
and the rooms were full of sagacity and delight,
nae from earthly rooms but 'til his heavenly flight.

God rested his soul and his weary bones
and took him away from his earthly homes
to a new place free of pain and sorrow
to a home of which is everyone’s tomorrow.

I wrote this in remberance of Fethullah Gulan's passing. I live 8 miles from his retreat and attend his reilious events. I don't follow any one religion, but respect each one's theology. I believe that there is no Hell (Jahannam) for us after life. We are forgiven for our sins through our clean hearts. Paradise (Jannah) is God's gift to us for just being alive. and knowing of his love and using it to guide us.
