My New Me

My New Me

My insensitivity, my ocean of pity
Nothing to love, and all to hide
Life is a yarn of misguided dreams
Felicity is too shallow for the passionate

When Life showed me its other side
The one that shines unto the light
I turned my back, my misery saw fit
Well-being is just a fashion, a shiny surface

Then she saw me as her noble hero
A knight to restore her forgotten dreams
A utopian gentleman to kiss away her loneliness
My self-imposed sorrow, on the road to recovery

Aspirations came dressed in a different garb
To become that hero of her dreams
Sorrow is just that illness, that nowhere guide
I’m above that now, I’m that noble knight
