Supersonic Santa

Whoosh! Goes the man in the sleigh,
Ducking meteors and the Milky Way.
With so many places to go, he goes,
Santa on the fly up over the snows.

Speed is of the essence up an’ back;
Over two billion children to be exact.
At lightning speed he circles the world,
Ignoring speed limits to give it a whirl.
He stops at every house and every place,
Bringing presents at a supersonic pace.
Santa is a man with the pedal to the metal.

I wrote this for The Belt and Beyond magazine. (Xmas issue)
