Sunshine Eyes

Her eyes at the end of the tunnel,
her beacon that shows the way out,
out of the darkness that dimmed the spirit of man,
an alluring light that reaches to the senses,
a flame that warms up their outer layers
and seeps through their hardened shells
that brings on the intoxication of life
and separates it from the awakening,
that opens up the book authored by the
the designer of life,

the first page, the chapter on lust,
a feeling undeniable,
and what it does to the human spirit,
the desire to fully digest it,
the need to feel its presence
and become intimate with it,
the need to let it roam
through the empty chasms
as it works its way to the loin,

man and woman, man and his needs,
woman and her needs, her mortal fulfillment,
her knowledge of the needs of man,
man beset by a darkness that numbed his senses,
man with his eyes thirsting for beauty,
a beacon that will lead the way out,
common man with common desires,
common man since the Garden of Eden.
Who doesn’t feel the way he feels?
