Scalpels

Scalpels, the knives of the physician,
the ruler of life and death,
the good of the pain inflicted,
the pathway to future’s well-being,
the agony before the euphoria,
the devil’s beatings and angel’s tears,
the God, the Lesser God, the Anti-God,

the delirium of the good and evil,
the twisting of the elements,
the pain that controls the brain,
the barbed wires that flap
in the swirling wind,
the rising of the broken mind,
the empyreal made out of steel
with eyes looking through
the perforated sky,
the angels with horns on high,
the virgins and whores uniting,
the tainted cathedrals drifting,
the Babylonian priests
sitting on the fences,
the snows of summer turning black,
the skies turning upside down,
nature in a heated frenzy from
the domination of the pain
as the rites of the spirit of Tartarus
from the flaming infernos carry on,

but then the withdrawal of the scalpel,
the glorious ride into the calm again,
and the forever smooth sailing
into the future.
Oh sweet life we meet again.
