Pride's Paradox

Pride’s Paradox

Those who have none, emptied
themselves of what pride they had
and replaced it with self-pity.  In that
case, pride is a helping hand that moves
the have-nots up to the have-everythings,
including an abundance of pride, that evil
that can weaken the pillars of humility.
