Echoes of Yesteryear

Echoes of yesteryear pass down in the forests
from tree to tree as the seasons progress.
They are the melodies of the whispering winds
that sing through the branches as the day begins.

An Autumn song to the falling leaves around,
shows the colors afore the hoary winter bound.
The same song echoes through the passing years
and repeated in verse by nature’s sonneteers.

I wrote this for the Belt and Beyond.
