No End to Learning

Kids you are so, so lucky. You have so many
years left to learn. Time is on your side. There
is no end to learning. When school was over for
me way back when, I didn’t stop learning. I wish
there were 30 hours in a day. What knowledge
to be learned in too short a time, yields not enough
days in which to learn it. To know everything
is impossible, so to know as much as we can is
sufficient. Education of the human mind
commences in the cradle and the schools
help to move it up to a new plateau,
the better life that we make for ourselves
through our desire to never stop learning.

I wrote this for the "Back to School" issue of the "Belt & Beyond" magazine.
