Little Boy Lost

Little Boy Lost

I’m a little boy lost in a manly body
Who dreams of courage and manly feats
Too fearful to venture away from home

Comes a time to catch up to life
The way it moves, the way it growls
If I could get around those daunting times
I could stay at home and dream away reality

Courage is for the brave to move on ahead
Those other people who proceed face to face
I lay back and postpone the inevitable
That time when all consequences come to be

Should death be my fate, I’ll go boldly into it
I am a man, and life is my conquest
Nothing hurts more than being a coward
When I face the Almighty
In the image of his son
