Iridescent Morn

Sun Gods in the morning skies
burning holes in the metal canopies
that cover up the beauty of the vibrant hills
that sleep through the night,
climb up through the fissures of the earth
carrying their torches in their steady hands,
shedding a light that peaks through
the perforated clouds,
artisans of nature working in the pallid skies,
adorning them with iridescent colors
that dazzle the eyes and soothe the heart.

Oh, beauty of the glorious Earth,
of the floating galleries in the morning sky,
paradise of the wandering heart,
painters of the barren clouds
casting iridescent colors upon the surface,
artisans employed by the revolving nights,
inspirers of poets, voices of the exhilarated,
wine of the exulting heart
in a world of dreams,
words for the muted lovers,
embellishers of basic thought,
rhymers for the grounded thinkers,
portrayers of heaven’s embodiment,

of divinity streaming through
the perforated clouds,
fanfare to beauty’s grand entrance,
shedding a light upon the morning skies,
upon the surface of the spirited eyes,
down along the contours of the spine
and into the chasms of the heart,
taming all restless thoughts
and soothing them with a heavenly balm.

Oh, beautiful gallery in the iridescent skies,
thank you for showing me what heaven looks like.
