Fire in the Sky

Fire in the Sky

What a sight to behold on high
Rising from obscurity, a wondrous sigh
It stays aloft with no feet on the ground
It creeps through the meadows
Without making a sound

Hear ye, hear ye. What magic to behold
Things that were hidden, now bright as gold
It moves to the west on its maiden journey
Just familiar sightings, but not so to me?

All that lies sleeping, peering out of its shell
What amazing stories to everyone to tell
I found the way to keep me alive
The magic I found, my plan to survive

Is it fire in the sky
Or that warm yellow sphere,
The one they call the sun
