Crocuses of Gallantry

Crocuses of gallantry cutting through the snows,
steadly rise from stouthearted embryos
as heroines braving the cruel winter’s wrath,
digging through late Winter’s snows to make a path.

They rise up above in their vibrant green crowns
while soon to be donning their elegant purple gowns
to meet the Springtime with the finest of wear,
performing their rites in ceremonious flair.
An ode to the beauty of the early Spring
and to what all the different seasons bring.
