That Quiet Place
Some days go by in quiet grace
When convention states another place
Should be encountered in your eye
This time left to you has passed by
Convention states the play of days
Those rules applied create a maze
Strict the method but all is lost
To that blind eye another’s cost
In quiet places the dream proceeds
Opens up a world of other deeds
Some are right but many are wrong
You must now learn a different song
The way to tread the map is straight
It must be followed, but the figure eight
Returns you ever to your starting place
Convention then has won your only race
To that quiet place you must return
And close your eyes unless they burn
To see the truth that none should learn
So turn your face from that sweet fern
