I was born in chicago public housing in the mid 70s. The lack of a male role model drove me in the wrong direction. I've always had a creative mind, I left home at an early age an spent most of my time in the streets. It was there I found my way into music an managed to get a record deal with an independent label. Things didn't go accordingly I ended up dealing drugs which almost cost me my life. Today I'm just a lonely soul trying to find its way.

Some things are better left unsaid as not all the time words can truly be used to describe everyone's ordeal......the best stories are told in complete...silence.

Well, I had a boring and event-less childhood. I moved to a different city and school when I was in fifth grade, and that is when my life completely changed. I made new friends, met new people, and had a change of atmosphere that was more hectic and noisy than what l was used to. In seventh grade I started playing tennis and I joined the student council as vice-president. My grades weren't perfect but they were acceptable, that was also the year that I started dating and doing theatre. It was the year that I started finding it important to stay active and get a good name started for myself. Without that year I would have never started writing. In one season change I ended up writing over one-hundred poems, and then I experienced a year and half long writer's block. When I came back with no writer's block, I learned that a poem can't solve everything. I realized that with or without poetry I was going to hurt, but a poem was more of a mild sedative; it would work but only for so long. After this epiphany, my writing evolved and became more mature. My thoughts on society developed and I became an actual person instead of a living doll with no intelligence. I love poetry, and any form of writing; I have no idea where I'd be today without it. I'd probably be a naive child who never understood overly complicated things. I find with these thoughts that I owe poetry my heart and life.

A deep soul with a good heart. Living life to the fullest and enjoying making and learning from my mistakes. I'm not perfect! I'm just me expressing myself through my poetry!

I've always been creative since I was a little girl. I would write poems, song lyrics, create things, draw, color and sing. My imagination was always big and vivid. As I got older I started to write short stories and even went to college to get a degree in creative writing. Well I ended up becoming a hairstylist which I love doing so much. I decided that writing was a hobby for me, a way to escape and release and I love it. I'm happy that I can be on here to share my talent with the world.

I work as a Stunt performer for film and television. Usually a Acrobat but now I dabble with Capoeira and Fighting. A bunch of other stuff as well. Im coming into a new way of thinking, and also writing. So I figured Id try my hand at some lyrical spoken word. Be as critical as you can.

Hello there, nice to meet you all. My names Tolga Aktas, I live in London, England. My ethnicity is Jamaican and Turkish Cypriot. My age is currently next to my name, so you know that. I stand at the height of 5'6, I guess I'm a shorty. I like to draw and get involved in photography. I pretty much like trying anything new, a challenge is always great. I have had a decent life, I can not complain one bit. Nothing is going on right now that i am at hand to mention. I'm just a simple music and literature loving person. I'm loveable and different I dont choose a certain type of life style i just grow into it. I am not one to jump a bandwagen, if I like something, I like it all there is to it. I'm weird but friendly and i let fate and destiny lead me, along with Christ our Lord. Thats pretty much it, I know pretty boring, but how much can you ask out of one person. -Tim
