I'm a teenage experimental poet, song writer, and author. I come from a good home but a not so good past. I explain myself through poetry and writing, because there is no other way to described me. I'm just awkward. I have severe depression and anxiety, along with other problems and struggles, and writing helps ease it all. I have love and passion for my work, and I plan on becoming a published author in the future. My name is Kailey Nicolaou (Titanium-Heart), my friends call me Kailz or Elly. My work is about my life struggles that have occurred and about faith, hope, depression etc. I have been writing poems, novels and songs since I was young to express my feelings, darkest and lightest thoughts. A lot of my poems are about my daughter Summer Rose Nicolaou who died on 18th December 2008, this was one of my darkest times that I have ever had. I do not speak to many people about my issues, so poetry is my release. Hello, my name is Liana Medina and as you may have already read i am a beginner poet. I never thought i was able to write poetry, until one day i wrote Darkness's Grasp, which is one of the poems you will read soon. I have recently been keeping a book of all my poems and currently have about 34 poems that i have written this year! Now i will warn you that some of my poetry is quite grotesc, and some have come from dreams and nightmares i have had. So that being said I would love some input and some advice on how to grow as a poet. so please feel free to let me know what you think, and i will be more than happy to the same for you.

I was made an older sister when i turned 3. My parents divorced when i was 6. I used to cut my wrists when things got bad(started at age 10). I have suicidal thoughts every now and again, but my poetry, my skateboarding, my drawings, and mainly my music help me along the way. Thats why im still here. Anyone can do it...you just got to believe that you're worth it (:

Surrey, BC. 16 years old ; expressing my life, myself and my feelings through poetry.

I'm a 20-year-old independent, and outspoken individual. I don't write to impress anybody, I've found that writing is a healthy way for me to cope with my depression and other emotions, whether they're nostalgic, happy, or an ambivalent mixture of the two. I'm in the process of trying to find myself. I'm from Massachusetts, the state with the most successful sports teams (in my opinion at least), aggressive drivers, "wicked" rude people, bipolar weather, and awesome clam chowder. Oh yeah, - it's also the world headquarters of mispronouncing the letter "R". :) One of my greatest influences in life has been Hayley Williams, the front woman of the band Paramore. Growing up as a teen, I felt completely alone. Her music helped me find a much stronger part of myself that I wouldn't have realized existed otherwise. It's an amazing feeling when you discover music that you can relate to some of the most heartfelt moments of your life, and other components of it that make you who you are. I'm an animal, piercing, tattoo, and book lover, and also a huge motorcycle enthusiast. - Would love to own one sometime in the near future! I am a single father, I am a son and I am a brother but to all I am a friend. My life revolves around all that I love and all that I love means I will keep on breathing and trying. I am mid 40's with a long and fruitful life ahead dreaming of calm and serenity in all I do. I am not "that" outgoing but enjoy time away with family and friends. Life now has become a place where I can watch the fruits of our labor ripen. "As we age and as we live life becomes less of a riddle and more of a poem"

Poetry and poetic thinking/feeling have been a part of my life since my teens in the 60s. I think it was even before that, but I did not know how to express it. I live a life of self-awareness and have had the fortune to do so for many decades now. I look forward to the discovery, pressing the edge of the known into the glorious adventure of the Unknown.
