There is poetry in nature better left to be spoken wordlessly by the breeze
I was like a rain cloud over a small garden and dammit if you weren’t that garden so full of flowers that I fell in love
I don’t remember any anesthesia after talking with you but I woke up stitched back
I say hello and you say nothing You may hear me you may even think of a response
There is a girl and I love her and I have loved her since the beg… Or so it seems to me as I only became conscious
You asked what I knew about you and I thought up a list of twenty things
All that I know how to do is write about death without dying and write about life
I see words screaming for attention etched in the lines of your face Let me look closer
The road is long and winding like nothing you can imagine Too many off ramps to count but too few in hindsight
The pen must be mightier than the sword For there is nothing that will spill your guts faster than a bit of ink that says
Everyday brings a new death in three words give or take Some days I drown
Everyone sees god in a different light but I was born without eyes
I wrote this while thinking of you so I guess you could say this poem is eight years in the making
The hands of this watch haven’t moved since the last time you did and I’m not sure if I’m ready to hear the ticking
