Two Times Reborn
Reflecting on the meaning of life Is like looking in the mirror shaving.
You take it for granted, there's always tomorrow, it's a given. But after
a broken heart and a near drowning death experiences you begin to
seriously take a second look at the mirror, create a space in your closet,
and dance the dance of your new life with your friend for life, your loved one.
Poem written a few weeks after a cardiovascular stent placement.

9yModern medicine these days does give us another chance to live. With our new chance we draw closer to an appreciation for what we have. I love your poem. It is so real.

9yThank you Robert. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next "seven" for the love of life and what we have.

8yIt seems to be a question with no sure answer. The meaning of life? I believe those who are coming to the end of their lives have the best answers. I believe we can't fully understand the meaning of life without living it well, long, enduring the bad, and appreciating the good. Also. like you said, making changes needed to let love in, forgiveness etc. I love this message! Nicely done!

8yThank you Jenifer! You're absolutely right! I am sure there's a lot said in the big waiting lobby, experiences sad and happy. Thanks again for loving and starring.

8yPowerful poem, Brod. And very well-written, As for me, I sincerely believe that I am in this world to achieve salvation. This place is a temporary home and sooner or later I shall be dust. But only to rise again in a new Jerusalem. My fervent hope.

8yThank you Brod. The same hope resides in me. Your poem "Waiting Room" delineates a very good perspective of what's ahead as we board that "train" - "...no sweeter perfume than heaven's!"

6yAhhh! Thank you Nelson for this expression of heartfelt yearning. My Master, ( and you know whom I mean), said, "The Truth is latent in everyone." To realize, journey the Path of Love. Yearning is the flame that burns away the veils.

6yThank you for visiting Kurt. A pleasant sure it is. You are absolute right. You yearn for something that’s truly meaningful in terms of your relationship with anything or anybody, may or may not be significant, it all boils down to taking the path of love. Love begins the very moment you yearn and grows at every stage of your desire and does not stop having experienced or shared it with the people you love. It transforms into a happy memory you may unveil again, the path to life lined on both sides with happy and sometimes not so happy memories. I just posted a poem about love as as it relates to the “incivility” that’s currently playing out across many parts of the paradise Earth we love so much. “Give The Other Cheek”I called it. It’s a scroll type mostly one word line poem. Hope you like. Thanks again and hello to Linda.

6yThat’s “...a pleasant surprise..” first sentence above. Sorry for the spell checker and word suggestion app.
