choose love
life is fragile and short lived
like a blade of grass emerging
lush at sunrise soaking in the sun
enough energy to last the day
into sunset alas withered at twilight
at dusk perished like it didn’t exist
love we impart when caring for life
life we impart when choosing love
there from every step love was
along the rugged road to Calgary
on the shoulder was acceptance
on the cross was love and pity
amidst the hellish scene at the Mount
the blessing towards man’s redemption was there
as well a resurrection that lends a deeper
faith towards an immortal life
a blessing that no matter the fragility of life
it is sustained by compassion by love
the kindness in us as one human specie
to share worldwide a human experience...
embracing acceptance nonjudgmental our virtue
that repeats from dust to dust to the
end of time
a love that’s been nourished in our mother’s womb
a birthright to be grateful for as a human being
being kind choosing and offering love
to one another
spreading joy this merry season of
Christmas time
