Memories
Shooting Stars
A life’s treasure pleasant memories
Snippets shared with friends and family
At lunch time at dinner time broad brush strokes
Told between bites of delectable food
Fantastical travel anecdotes
On seasons of joy and thanksgiving
Enjoyed over bazaar collectibles
Gourmet street food adventures lazy walks
Beach resort happy hours the boardwalks
Dawn to sunrise jogs twilight to dusk walks
With a loved one alone or with friends
Make for a grand memory a joy to tell
You listen to whispers of intimate stories
From the lambent eyes of a lover your sweetheart
Kisses of sweet nothings and white lies at bedtime
Smiling sun rising you wake up deep breath taken
Close to heart you hold the tender loving last night
A sacred blissful remembrance for a lifetime
Yes we all had the good the bad times
As fate would have it bad memories
Find a way to naturally die
Let’s then fly away my love to our rendezvous
When we leave this world wonderful lifetime we had
Fly back to paradise where our eyes had first met
Relive the remembrances the dreams we fashioned
Come a new moon lie down we will on the meadow
Wishes we’ll make as shooting stars shower the sky
