Believe
Encouraged that life is about love,
Knowing when to be strong,
Rolling high and low on emotions,
It is best to confront them, realizing when to let go.
The wounds that were given, to my heart
Will become scars, lessons learned.
Removing the clutter from my life,
Hanging onto the memories, yet the past is done.
Disappointments will have come and gone,
Wherever I may go, I believe.
Let the cities and world burn around us,
The way humanity is, losing all control.
My footsteps are walking away from the disillusioned,
They remain as they are and, will not stay,
For I am encouraged that life is about love,
Knowing when to be strong, just letting go.
Another day is gone; I, have turned another page,
Looking to the future, staying away from the darkness,
Pushing towards the light, for I believe,
Knowing full well there is a place beyond their control.
