Unrestrained Never Confined

Poem: I cannot.

Poem: I cannot.

I wish I could hold you.
I wish I could let you cry it all out on my shoulder
I wish...
But I can’t.
I can’t make it all better.
I can’t kiss you till you can’t breath...
I can’t love you till you can’t walk.
I can’t be there for you in the morning...
I can’t dance with you in the rain.
I can’t.
I can’t make your feelings of loneliness and abandonment go away...
I can’t take you taking those feelings out on me without being able to make them go away.
I can’t.
But I want to.... and that hurts.
