Old Man and the Mirror

In the mirror, a face I see,
Etched with lines of memory.
Eyes that once sparkled bright,
Now reflect a softer light.

Hair of silver, touched by years,
Tells tales of laughter, whispers and tears.
A smile that’s weathered joy and pain,
In the mirror, it smiles back again.

Each wrinkle, a journey, etched in skin,
Stories of battles lost and wins.
In the mirror, I meet my past,
A life that’s been, a love that’s amassed.

No longer seeking youth’s embrace,
In the mirror, I find my grace.
Wisdom in the gaze that meets my own,
In the mirror, I am very well known.

Looking back, I see the truth,
Beauty lies beyond the youth.
In the mirror, age is kind,
A canvas of the soul’s own design.
