Waldo the Walrus

Waldo The Walrus,

In the Icy waters where the brisk winds blow,
Lives a walrus named Waldo, with his big heart aglow.
He’s big, he’s blubbery, a sight to behold,
But all poor Waldo wants, is a friend to hold.

He rises from the depths, with a splash and a cheer,
But his size and his weight, brings a lot of fear.
Boats tip and tumble, when he comes on board for sun,
Yet Waldo means no harm, he says, “I’m sorry for what I’ve done.”

With tusks so long and mighty, and whiskers so grand,
He dreams of a day he’ll find a warm hand.
To pat his broad back, and scratch his thick hide,
For Waldo the walrus, love is a feeling denied.

He munches on clams, his favorite treat,
Cracking their shells with his big powerful teeth.
He dives deep for fish, with a flick of his tail,
In search of a meal, through the oceans vast trail.

But one day a child, with a heart pure and kind,
Saw Waldo’s true nature, and left fear behind.
They played by the shore, with laughter and glee,
And Waldo the walrus felt happy and free.

So if you see Waldo, don’t run away too fast,
Stick around and watch for the shadows he casts.
For even the biggest beasts, with tusks gleaming bright,
Deserve to be loved, from early morning until late at night.

i keep seeing this picture of a walrus on the back of a sailboat and the sailboat looks to be about to capsize.
