loss

At the heart of loss
Lives a gory malcontent

Petulant and peevish
Though, believes all is his to vent

Tardy and resilient
He resembles faith and stakes

Tossing verbatum, verse and parody
As stand in witches slowly burn

(2013)

Sour grapes leave an awful taste in your mouth

Regret has never held much allure for me, neither to hold a grudge. I have known many people that resemble the thinking in this poem, I try not to keep their company. I prefer let the slights of the past die their miserably deaths. This poem captures the malcontent perfectly!

Thanks, I don't hold grudges myself either, life's way too short for that senseless activity. Regret is sometimes a good tool to keep your mind focused. Living my life the way I have lived it does tend to give you opportunity for regret. There are certain things I wish I'd done differently, I deeply regret how I've treated people who I should of held close. My story is a boring one and life's too short for you to hear that, I shall spare you the yawns!
