I’m not so sure that a kiss on the cheek could make this any better
this gradient lets the our world slip away, down towards a soft darkness,
we could wish for a tad more from all the things that we take for granted
but we know we’ll cry out our eyes and shed an ocean of misery, tiredness,
no seeds grow, this soil lays still and taunts all with its unyielding passion
all the correct ingredients wait and chance a brew to tower tall and inspired,
long hours of insolence payed truth with a vapid fiction that smarts still
my vacuous mind pays no homage to none but its spread and sprawl, rationed
its a interminable wave, a never ending bleary barrage
daring to float through on its mystique of ebony,
a felony of heart that leaves all common ground damp and dun
open doors lay a ceaseless trap to hold the soul, undeniably,
a true love that paced a mute run towards the light
heads high as a world so cold and bleak and miserly envelops,
I can’t see a future in this chopped down forest of nightmare come dreams
as all scriptures pool into a theme of one huge centralized heart drops,
a messed up head and an incongruous broken down beat in my chest
my unkempt hair was never a reason for all this passive and agreeable hate,
in life your travel farthest away to find what was real was just a mirage
and you’ve been led down a convoluted path and the hours gone past late,
she laid you down and covered your eyes, with sweetness and with sting
oddly restricted there seemed extra gravity about my body,
now you now the pain and ache that a weird misdirection brings
it seems grounded, as my luck, waiting for the magpies to pass,
