here she comes again

a bus I should of never taken
I might of not met you,
took you out for a drink
and felt something between us two,

should of ripped up your number
shouldn’t of given you mine,
should of left the phone ringing
and pulled down all the blinds,

but I was deep inside
the trap that you’d laid,
I thought that it was love
but oh how my mind changed,

and here she comes again
putting me down again,
and I’m sure she’d nail me to this floor
if she could, she would,
and I’m stuck and I cant break free
her chains of love bind me,
they’re making me believe, its always down to me
its always down to me,

moved into a flat
that cost more then I earned
then came talk of mortgages
and areas and schools to learn

we moved into a house
and you said you hate my friends
all the things that were positive
were now speeding in reverse

I watched you through the window
slam the door and head down the path
a love affair in a suitcase
no tears just a glare looking back

we were two opposing forces
that could never fuse or gel,
we gave it a try and miserably failed
and the stories here to tell,

and here she comes again
putting me down again,
and I’m sure she’d nail me to the floor
if she could, she would,
and I just can’t break free
her chains of love bind me,
making me believe, its always down to me
its always down to me,

sometimes I still think of her
and I hope she’s doing well,
but I always end up thinking
maybe if that bus had broken down,
then we may not of had to endure
all the conflict and all the pain,
urging me to write these lines
here she comes again,
