Good News

To Fox News patrons

How can I enjoy being alive
When it’s all just a ploy and a fight to survive?
We got blue on black chalk outlines lining the streets
So I close and lock my door.
The news can’t but trusted, but how 'bout our eyes?
Can they separate all of the truth from the lies?
Pay for your living, but save the receipts:
Ain’t no living in war.

Take the technological blindfolds away from your eyes
And you’ll see how far we’ve come.
When skin is the factor that defines and decides,
It’s time to turn 'round and go home.

We got asses and assholes who never forget
Who are trying to lose all the world on a bet
To the rest of the world who don't care about birds
Who strut about the zoo,
‘Cause the ones who care more for their pride than their friends
Are the ones who remain when everyone else ends,
And for that kind of image, there just ain’t no words:
I’m part of the problem. Are you?

Take the technological blindfolds away from your eyes
And you’ll see how far we’ve come.
When skin is the factor that defines and decides,
It’s time to turn 'round and go home.
