Drift Away

I stay calm as I watch myself drift out to sea. Not knowing where I am heading or when I can find a place I can call home. With a rod in my hand hitting each wave as it smacks the side of my boat. A never-ending open ocean is what I see. For someone to find me would be like a needle in a hay stack, but that’s alright by me. Because here I am alone. No worries other than when the next thunderstorm will be coming in to rock my boat.  No one here to tell me I am doing something wrong or that I messed up. No one next to me cheating of my work. Nobody telling me I have to be somewhere by a certain time. I am free to where ever this Atlantic current will take me. Yeah I will still have my problems from day to day like any other person.  But here I am happy. I will visit places I have never been before. Run in to some things I am not quite sure I will get out of. But if you see me with a white flag above my head. Go ahead and say hi I will not bite but neither do I promise.

(2014)

Just my imagination.
