I asked God what was to come,
         and I was left unanswered.
I asked for an answer to my question,
         yet silent was my room.
I asked God what have I done,
         and he left me unattended.
I asked God to make me better,
        yet I’m cruel as I could be.
I asked God for Salvation,
       and I still feel the burdens weight.
I asked God why he hated me,
       and left me to my demise.
And that’s when God spoke to me,
       words of color and joy.
Reminded me of what I have,
       a love and family.
So I thanked God for what he brought,
       and I thanked him happily.
