Re: Feeling Free

Arriving at my place of solitude
Feeling free to adjust my attitude
As I step on to the hot sand
I do so with a little remorse
Most of all, I need understand
That though hot and coarse
Sand gives way to my foots’ step
It is soft and pliable
Yet most reliable
For lost I cannot be
For there lies a foot print
Caused by me
So my return is guaranteed
My mind escapes towards the sky
In moments, I am flying high
Soaring and gliding as a sea gull
Looking over the bay and its color blue
Reflecting the sky so true
I am free, my spirit is not confined
I slowly release my inhibitions
Existing outside my renditions
I am no longer confined to a worry
I am left free to dream in glory
For in this state, I can be
Whatever creature I see
A fish swimming without regard
Perhaps a crab on an island barred
A jelly fish floating along
A massive whale so strong
Perhaps, a shark just eating away
Whatever I want, who can say
In this state, I feel satisfied
My feelings I no longer hide
Today, being alone is my choice
In this decision, I rejoice
For exploring who I might be
Is a satisfying journey
Though alas, I must return
The total day I cannot burn
To that state of mind
That which, I have left behind
Back to the place where I began
That to which I am
One being is the mist of many
One body, one soul, one way
Restricted, I must conform
To be as all, to be the norm
But one day soon again
I will let loose and then
Arriving at a place of solitude
I will feel free to adjust my attitude
