At times, when I am alone and thinking inwardly,
I think about what is important really and genuinely.
Is it my health, as at times I feel; I can hardly breathe?
Or perhaps my feelings, emotions not expressed, kept underneath?
I think about friends I have known and people I have met.
Who come to mind, because of whom they are and what they have said.
Is it those, who I miss, who have touched my heart?
Or perhaps, those whom endeared themselves to me,
And of whom, my life are a part?
At times, when I am alone and no one is near—my thoughts are in God.
Who is always in me and above and beyond me.
His presence I always feel.
Is it that even though I sin—
His love for me makes my heart melt?
Or perhaps that because I know he is in me and I in Him,
He, who is ready to forgive,
And love me again when I confess my sin.
Life is many instances of time lived,
One second, a small portion of a day.
An important thing is that we take time to reminisce and say—
At times, when I’m alone and thinking inwardly—
You are important really and genuinely.
You whom I have met and whom I have yet to meet,
Who have become an essence of me and of me are a part.
For truly, God is in each of our heart,
And of God, all of us, of him, we are all a part.
