I wake up and wipe sleep from my eyes
Just soon enough to hear strange cries
I leap up from my slumbering state
A dash towards my front gate
I look up and see pure destruction
A vehicle so mangled it would not function
A cry so faint I can barely hear
Jolts my brain into gear
I search for someone but alas no one passes by
I search and search until human flesh catches my eye
But no in the place I would’ve expected
Hiding in the rubble a human lay undetected
I near the crippled body, the source of the cries
I turn over the body, and look into my own eyes
I start to scream a blood curtling scream
I wake up and relize it was only a dream
