Summer Romance

In a deserted Long Beach inn

Next to the marina;

They bid their farewells

While gazing at Catalina;

Pride and ego won

Neither had the stamina!

A romance with much promise

A beautiful love story

But sadly it’s all over

Gone with summer’s glory!

But in the cold winter nights

Chances are they’d be sorry!

If their love were true

They’d feel much regret

If feelings were mutual

It’ll be painful to forget

If embers be in their hearts

Their souls forever will fret...

Sad fact of life. Nice poem Vic.

Thanks amigo. Love is not easy, one must fight for it.

If they can't forget each other, they will find a way to meet again.

Sunsets - amazing in Catalina! Sad to part ways in this setting. But who knows they could bump in to each other in a cozier bistro in Long Beach. And again "swim" to Catalina for a sunset...into sunrise...and on...and... Nice vignette, Brod. Like

Thanks brod. I like your "what ifs" - sounds like another poem LOL

Love storys are so beautiful. like this.

Thank you Charlotte.
