We peeked thru a hole in the frosted windowpane
Squinted our eyes to view the pristine winter scene
In the virgin snow not a blemish nor a stain
And all the bushes snow-draped, not a sign of green
Not a soul in sight in the frozen wonderland
Undoubtedly the best playground we’ve ever seen
For the fresh powd’ry snow whiter than whitest sand
So we rushed with our cocoa and got dressed quickly;
Snow angels all around, snowmen by dusk will stand
And afterglow, smoke’ll emanate from our chimney
Thus overjoyed, with happy feet homebound we’d be!

4aI always dreamed of a snow white Christmas where it's all pristine and clean. No mar of dirt or mud but all is pure and crystal white.

3aAh…cool fresh breath of winter! And back breaking snow shoveling! Still the quiet, the fireplace, the season of joy music, family gatherings -simply are incomparable. Nice poem Brod. Love your winter poem series. Like.

3aWe lived in New York and Virginia so we’ve seen quite a bit of snow. One time we were visiting my brother in Maryland and we got snowed in for several days. @Francisco Potato
