Pumpkin spice and bales of hay
Marshmallows and cinnamon
Caramel and iced latté
Golden leaves and harvest moon
All the signs October’s here
Tis the best time of the year
Pleasant evenings, gentle breeze
Lazy mornings, misty haze
In the distance—winter’s freeze
Fond farewell, hot summer days
October, a month most fair
Colors dance through crisp cool air
October skies blush in hues
Amber fields and apples red
Whispers soft as evening dew
Stars ignite the night ahead
With each dusk, hearts pause to say
Autumn’s magic, make it stay

6meWhere I lived, growing up, we had a place called "Apple Acres." It would open up just after labor day and I tell you I would be all over my mother to take me there for a carmel apple... Carmel smothered over a Red Delicious... mmmm. Great poem, brought back wonderful memories.

6me@Mark Sallee: Glad it brought you many years back. 🤣 Thanks for liking

6meBeautiful, you describe my favorite month well!
Francis Aparici
6me@Barb Clarke: It’s a special month for you. Known that the last few years. And Charlotte’s as well. But she hardly comes to my wall now. Thanks for the Fave and Like
