Pure joy and sadness never coexist
Neither bliss and grief; for they’re opposites
But love and hate can, and often they do
Emotions run deep, and debris accrue
Love builds and uplifts, but hatred destroys
When joined together, love loses its voice
If love and hate be of equal measures
Hate wins, love can’t exist with displeasures
For love and hate powerful emotions
They are intense, sweet and bitter passions
